- Measurement and Comparison of the Optical and Mechanical Properties of Intraocular Lenses
Main tasks:
- Comprehensive investigation of the properties of intraocular lenses (IOLs) using simulation tools, optical-principle-based measurements, and surface-examination methods. The student’s tasks include summarising the results of the investigations, comparing various designs, and proposing potential new examination aspects.
- During the internship the student becomes familiar with the fundamentals and current directions of IOL design, as well as the regularly applied measurement and evaluation methods. The student gains insight into the development process and the complete product life cycle from design to end-use.
