Renewed Physicist MSc program starting in February 2027
Starting in the spring semester of 2027, we welcome students to the renewed Physicist master's program:
- We have designed a flexible curriculum that allows students to begin their studies in either September or February.
- We have aligned the curriculum with the Physicist-Engineering BSc program and structured it to make it as easy as possible to admit students from other science and engineering (STEM) programs.
- We are launching two new specializations in Quantum Technology and Scientific Data Processing.
- We are offering opportunities for an increased amount of independent research and development, within which students may achieve results comparable to half a PhD thesis while still in the MSc program; thus, after completing the MSc program, a PhD degree may be earned within even three years.
- The new program is offered exclusively in English.
Curricula for the new training program, according to the announced specializations:
- Research Physicist Specialization
- Quantum Technology Specialization (NEW!)
- Nanotechnology and Materials Science Specialization
- Optics and Photonics Specialization
- Nuclear Technology Specialization
- Scientific Data Processing Specialization
Curricula for students beginning their studies before February 2027
