On the geometry of quantum secrets

In this talk we show how quantum secret sharing  based on the pentagon and heptagon codes can be understood in finite geometric terms. We demonstrate how from this perspective the secret breaking protocols are naturally connected to  basic quantum notions like entanglement and contextuality. As is well-known the pentagon and heptagon codes play a pivotal role in building up holographic codes. These objects can be used as building blocks for  patterns of emergent spacetime structures. Our findings give further evidence for the idea that even in the simplest scenarios provided by these codes the basic ingredients of discretized geometry emerge hand in hand with basic quantum notions.
